There are many risk factors, most of which can be modified and included in a new ‘risk score’, a risk score that allows you to predict the likelihood of developing dementia within the next 14 years. It’s called the UK Biobank Dementia Risk Score (UKBDRS) and has proven to be more reliable than the other three options widely used today, developed in Australia (ANU-ADRI), Finland (CAIDE) and the United Kingdom (DRS).
