Tiger Woods has authorized the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to release the findings of his car crash investigation, and they did so on Wednesday. Woods released a statement shortly after.

Investigators determined that speed was the only factor in the Feb. 23 crash, which left Woods with serious lower body injuries that required surgery. Tiger was traveling as fast as 87 mph on a dangerous curved road. His SUV was go 75 mph when it hit a tree, according to the police.

After the cause of the crash was published, Woods posted a statement on Twitter thanking everyone involved. He said he “will continue to focus on my recovery and my family.”
