Kudos to San Jose Sharks center Patrick Marleau, who earlier this week topped Gordie Howe for the most games played in the NHL of all time. Marleau was selected second overall by the Sharks in 1997 and is currently in his 23rd season in the league. Despite having played more than 400 games in the WHA, Howe’s record for games played in the NHL was since 1961. may not be enough to place Marleau in the Professional Hockey Hall of Fame, but it highlights what has been an incredible career. Surprisingly, the 41-year-old has been in the league for almost a quarter of a century.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Now that Marleau has the record to himself, it’s a good time to see how well you know the players he passed on his way to the top. So with that in mind, how many career NHL game leaders have played can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
