Florida Governor DeSantis Says All Remaining Covid Restrictions Are Suspended
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new law on Monday that suspend everything else emergency orders and public health restrictions related to COVID-19.
Governor DeSantis announced at a press conference that this action would take place immediately and without delay, with all of these restrictions being completely invalidated on July 1.
The legislation also permanently bans “vaccine passports” and prohibits local government from enacting certain types of COVID restrictions.

Governor DeSantis: ‘The point is, we are no longer in a state of emergency’
“The point is, we are no longer in a state of emergency,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis was careful to note that the coronavirus still exists and needs to be treated on a case-by-case basis, but cited a significant drop in cases and deaths as the reason for its order.
The governor also said he believed vaccinees continuing to wear masks undermined public confidence in vaccines.
