Did Herschel Walker announce the Georgia Senate candidacy before meeting Donald Trump?

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump announced that the former NFL star Herschel Walker plans to challenge Senator Raphael Warnock for his Senate seat in the 2022 midterm election.
During an appearance on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton radio show, the hosts asked Trump about Walker’s possible Senate candidacy.
Trump said: “He told me he was going to do it and I think he will. I had dinner with him a week ago. He’s a great guy. He’s a patriot. And he’s a very loyal person, he’s a very strong person. They love it in Georgia, I’m telling you.
But did Herschel himself reveal his plans even before meeting Trump?

Close to make a decision
An Atlanta Journal-Constitution report states that in a statement Tuesday night, Walker said he is “examining the race closely” and plans to make a final decision soon.
But eagle-eyed viewers of his Twitter feed noticed a tweet he sent before he even met Trump, where he may have announced his intention to appear.

In a video, Walker shows off his Nissan GT-R sports car, cranking the engine.
He points to the car and says, “It’s ready! Walking to the back of the car, Walker says, “I’m getting ready! And we can run with the big dogs ”, and emphasizes his Georgian license plate.
The Georgia license plate is important because Walker would at least live part-time in Texas, not Georgia.

What the terrain looks like so far
The field of Republican Senate candidates in Peach State could be interesting. After losing both Senate seats to Democrats in 2020, Republicans in Georgia would like to reclaim at least one of those seats.
In addition to Walker perhaps throwing his hat in the ring, the other candidate with name recognition is former Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who lost to Warnock in 2020. Four-term congressman Buddy Carter, who represents a district near Savannah but has never run for a government-wide post State, is also considering running for the Senate, as is State Agriculture Commissioner Gary. Black.
But with Walker yet to make a decision, GOP strategists say it keeps the potential campaigns of many candidates on hold. Eric Tanenblatt, one of the GOP’s top fundraisers, said: “I guess my hope is that if Herschel does it, he decides to do it ASAP. You have people waiting to get on board, but it’s almost getting a little too late. ”
January 4 @HerschelWalker said: “America needs a total cleanup that only Donald Trump can do with the help of TRUE PATRIOTS… whatever it takes to get the job done.”

Very popular walker in Georgia
Walker is without a doubt a favorite son of Georgia.
As a freshman in 1980 he led the University of Georgia Bulldogs at a national championship and won the Heisman Trophy in 1982. He played in the USFL league for three years.
After that league closed, he spent 11 years in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. Currently, among his business interests, he owns a poultry supplier based in Georgia.
Yes @HerschelWalker is executed, the GOP field must be cleared. Man has enormous Star power.
