Milwaukee Brewers, two-time All-Star and only one National League player, Christian Yelich just can’t make it this spring.

Yelich recently missed three weeks of action due to return issues, but returned for Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies. While the 29-year-old recorded a pair of hits in this game, Adam mccalvy The league’s website notes that Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell told reporters on Tuesday that Yelich was back on the injured list with back strain that had not significantly improved since April 11.

“Last night he told us he wouldn’t be able to do it on a daily basis,” Counsell explained. “And so we have to stop and resolve this completely. … At this point, we don’t have an answer.”

In a matching lineout move, Milwaukee recalled outfielder Tyrone Taylor from Triple-A Nashville.

Yelich appeared in just 10 games at the start of the 2021 campaign and beats .353 with zero homers and a single RBI. The Brewers, meanwhile, started Tuesday night tied for the lead with the St. Louis Cardinals at 17-12.
