It’s time for a new installment of our 2021-22 MLB Free Agent Power Rankings, where we rank players based on their earning potential if they reach the free market as planned. 1. Corey seager. Seager broke his hand after being hit by ground in mid-May, and looks likely to return in early July. It will be interesting to see how Seager strikes once back. In 169 plate appearances to start the season, he sits at 122 WRC +. It’s solid work, but maybe a little below Seager’s own standards, having started the season with a career 130 rating.
